With over 150 years of sailing history, The Royal South Australian Yacht Squadron prides itself as one of South Australia’s premier Yacht Clubs. Our range of affordable memberships have been designed to suit all lifestyles from full boat ownership & family needs through to active crewing, regional and social options.
The diverse nature of the Squadron is enshrined by the many ways that families, some third and fourth generations celebrate in the passion of sailing and life-long friendships. Sailing is truly a sport that can be done across the generations and enjoyed by the youngest of tackers, through to the wisest of old salts.
Whether you’re a keen young junior, an experienced sailor, or a lover of great food, there is something for everyone at the Squadron.
Membership Categories and Fees
Season 2024/25

Family: $1680.00 p/a
Family membership shall have the benefits of senior membership for both the primary member and the partner with unlimited dependants (under 18 years of age) who join free of charge. Membership shall have unrestricted use of the club and all facilities, plus credit facility, boating and voting rights and racing participation. Includes a $200 hospitality credit redeemable on food and beverage within the club’s facilities. -
Senior 18+: $1240.00 p/a
Senior membership shall have unrestricted use of the club and all facilities, plus credit facility, boating and voting rights and racing participation. Includes a $100 hospitality credit redeemable on food and beverage within the club’s facilities.Those with a marina berth, or utilising boat or container storage must be a senior member of the Squadron.

Associate 18+: $600.00 p/a
Associate membership shall be for persons over 18 years of age looking to enjoy the social aspects of the club. You may have your boat moored at another Marina and want to get involved in Sailing with the Squadron.Full use of the clubhouse facilities with credit facility. Includes a $100 hospitality credit redeemable on food and beverage within the club’s facilities.

Intermediate 18-23: $435.00 p/a
Intermediate membership shall be for persons between 18 and 23 years of age.Full use of clubhouse facilities, racing participation and voting rights. Includes a $100 hospitality credit redeemable on food and beverage within the club’s facilities.

Crew: $600.00 p/a
Crew membership shall be for persons active in crewing on a racing or cruising vessel.Full use of clubhouse facilities, racing participation and debit facilities. Includes a $100 hospitality credit redeemable on food and beverage within the club’s facilities.

Country: $545.00
Country Membership shall be a permanent resident of more than one hundred and sixty kilometres from the Adelaide GPO.Full use of the Clubhouse facilities and voting rights. Includes a $100 hospitality credit redeemable on food and beverage within the club’s facilities.

Junior (under 18 years): $295.00
Junior membership shall be for persons under 18 years of age and sail training is available for persons from 8 to 17 years of age. -

Gate Keys may be purchased at $20.00 per fob. This is non-refundable.The Club financial year is from the 1st of May to the 30th of April. Memberships roll over and charge automatically each year unless notification of membership resignation is sent to the General Manager.
